Overview

The Clinical Resource Manager supports nursing operations by evaluating and optimizing workflows, procedures, and policies to improve care delivery. This role drives nursing efficiency and quality, supporting nursing-sensitive indicators and clinical KPIs. Serving as a key liaison among Training/Education, Analytics, Project Management, and Compliance teams, the CRM ensures alignment of clinical initiatives with regulatory standards, organizational goals,
and best practices.
In collaboration with nursing teams across Transitions of Care, High-Risk Populations, and Specialty Ambulatory Clinics, the CRM identifies inefficiencies, implements workflow optimization strategies, and ensures sustainable improvements that align with the organization's strategic priorities.

 

This position is located in Austin, Texas. Only those in the greater Austin Metro area will be considered for the role. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

 

  • Collaborate with nursing teams in Transitions of Care, High-Risk Populations, and Specialty Clinics to tailor workflow improvements that address population-specific needs and support continuity of care.
  • Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing program services and initiatives to ensure they are evidence based and consistent with regulatory and accreditation standards as applicable.
  • Supports the integration and use of evidence -based methods, tools, and guidelines linked to effective outcomes.
  • Drive the adoption of new clinical practices, technologies, and workflows by engaging frontline staff, providing training support, and ensuring sustainable integration into daily operations.
  • Evaluate and maintain nursing workflows, clinical processes, and Medical Assistant Gold Standard protocols to identify inefficiencies and implement evidence-based improvements that enhance care delivery and operational performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing, education, analytics, compliance, and project management teams to ensure clinical initiatives are aligned with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Collaborates with the appropriate cross-functional leadership to formulate new, innovative ideas to improve departmental performance while enhancing team member experience.
  • Monitor and support nursing-sensitive indicators and clinical KPIs, collaborating with nursing leadership to develop strategies that improve patient outcomes and align with organizational goals. Identifies opportunities to improve compliance with outcome metrics.
  • Supports clinical staff in the real time application of information to change healthcare delivery and affect patient outcomes.
  • Collaborates and supports the Training and Education department by providing staff education for new team members or continued staff education as needed. Supports Training and Education department by conducting training needs assessments and support with the development of curriculum as needed.
  • Rounds on clinics regularly and at defined intervals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Proven skill in working across departments (e.g., nursing, analytics, compliance, education) to align clinical initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, care coordination, and clinical workflows in outpatient and ambulatory care environments.
  • Strong ability to assess clinical operations, identify inefficiencies, and apply Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Proven skill in working across departments (e.g., nursing, analytics, compliance, education) to align clinical initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Competence in interpreting clinical and operational data to inform strategies that improve nursingsensitive indicators and key performance metrics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, educate, and support clinical teams through change management and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ability to lead and support clinical projects, including workflow redesign, policy updates, and system implementations, ensuring sustainable change and staff engagement.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

 

Work Experience:

Three (3) years Clinical nursing experience

Two (2) years Experience working with cross-functional teams or in a matrixed healthcare environment.

Two (2) years Prior involvement in workflow redesign, clinical systems implementation, or performance improvement initiatives.

Two (2) years Prior experience in nursing informatics or clinical systems, with demonstrated ability to leverage data and technology to improve workflows and patient care outcomes.

 

Licenses and Certifications:

 

Unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Texas

Project Management Professional Upon Hire

Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma (Within 6 Months of Hire)
