JOB SUMMARY:


The Physical Therapist Manager will play a pivotal role in building, managing, and leading the physical therapy program at Central Health. This leadership position encompasses overseeing clinical practice, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting the development and performance management of staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in physical therapy, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for promoting evidencebased practices while enhancing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions


-Lead the planning and execution of the physical therapy program at Central Health, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s goals and values
-Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure the program is designed to meet the needs of patients and the community
-Develop and implement best practices, treatment protocols, and workflows for efficient patient care
-Ensure that the program adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements
-Oversee the delivery of patient care across various settings, ensuring a patient-centered approach
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
-Provide direct physical therapy services when necessary, maintaining clinical expertise in treatment modalities and techniques
-Ensure patient care outcomes meet or exceed organizational benchmarks for quality and satisfaction
-Monitor patient progress, modifying treatment plans as required based on feedback and clinical findings
-Supervise, mentor, and support a team of physical therapists and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
-Lead recruitment, training, and development initiatives to ensure the department is staffed with qualified and skilled professionals
-Implement and uphold department policies and procedures to promote a culture of excellence
-Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies regarding physical therapy practice
-Stay updated on industry trends and research to ensure Central Health maintains a leadership position in physical therapy care
-Foster strong communication channels between physical therapy staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
-Serve as a resource for other departments and stakeholders seeking physical therapy expertise
-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

-Master's Degree (higher degree accepted) in Physical Therapy (MPT)- REQUIRED

-Doctoral or Professional Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)- PREFERRED

 

EXPERIENCE:

-3 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist - REQUIRED

-2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role - REQUIRED

-1 year of acute inpatient experience - PREFERRED 

 

Licensure/Certifications:

-Unrestricted license for Physical Therapy - REQUIRED

-Board Certified Physical Therapy Specialist - PREFERRED
