The Information Technology Manager is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, communication, and management of the infrastructure team business continuity processes and functions. The Information Technology Manager within Central Health's Joint Technology Department leads a team responsible for Cloud Servers, Private Date Center Servers, monitoring services, automation services, provisioning, deployement, administration and security practices. This position reports to to the Director, IT/IS Enterprise Tech Operations. The Information Technology Manager is accountable for oversight of the day-to-day operational activities of the Data Center Technology (Cloud or Private) in support of Central Health (CH). This includes prioritizing team work efforts; anticipating, recognizing and resolving issues; overseeing team processes and assessing for areas of opportunity to improve effectiveness and efficiency. The Information Technology Manager will be involved in everything from working with all other internal and external Joint Tech teams and vendors as necessary. The Information Technology Manager will be a technology leader in the development of tools, processes, and procedures that incorporate best practices for all system hosting and security. This position works closely with the organizational security and privacy officers to enforce and improve security policies related to HIPAA, PHI and PII requirements. The Information Technology Manager is responsible for communicating barriers to the Joint Tech Directors and CIO and is responsible for adhering to the expectations of the CIO. The position will be expected to perform other duties as assigned to execute on the tasks related to the Enterprise and Joint Technology initiatives.
Hybrid = Individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs
Essential Functions
• Directly manage staff, including hiring, firing, assigning and prioritizing work, setting employee goals, reviewing
team performance metrics and completing performance reviews.
• Analyzes technology in the Cloud and Private Data Center systems to provide solution-focused recommendations
• Performs vendor management and oversight as needed
• Disaster Recovery planning and conducting regular system tests
• Designs, implements, and supports computing platform hardware, software, operating systems and
infrastructure standards to meet application availability and performance requirements
• Works with other staff to serve as a Subject Matter Expert to effectively identify and communicate risks and
assist with implementation
• Provides hardware and software support on servers to include the configuration, maintenance and update of
these platforms
• Develop metrics to establish SLAs for systems, vendor services, as well as internal support process.
• Develop exception reports to address the critical needs and maintain a secure environment
• Ensures systems are capable of being managed and monitored for availability and performance against overall
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) criteria including reporting of capacity, utilization, trending and forecasting
• Create automated processes for system monitoring and administration
• Conducts research and analysis of new tools and technologies to improve existing solutions and to fulfill new
system requirements
• Analyze current capabilities and projected organizational growth needs to ensure infrastructure can adhere to
established SLAs
• Create and document processes and procedures related to computing platforms, technologies, and system
configurations
• Provides regular status and project updates to leadership including regular trends and statistics related to
systems and overall health and metrics of the current infrastructure.
• Must be able to work outside of standard business hours. This position requires, on occasion, the ability to work
evenings, weekends and holidays
