Under general supervision, refers, enrolls and/or assists customers in obtaining appropriate healthcare, and assists customers in resolving simple problems and complaints.
Essential Duties (at least 5 that are non-negotiable duties and are absolutely pertinent to successfully completing the job without

• Reviews documents and electronic application submissions to makes basic decisions regarding a client’seligibility
for healthcare services including interpreting and applying basic program requirements.
• Conducts first level screening for multiple programs and gathers and processes documents
• Explains program benefits and how to access services.
• Assists clients in resolving simple problems and complaints regarding services.
• Greets customers, provides information regarding scheduled interview, explains services, and assists
customers by responding to inquiries with appropriate and accurate information.
• Answers telephone, routes customers calls appropriately, and responds to customer inquiries in English andSpanish
with appropriate and accurate information.
• Schedules appointments via computer.
• Maintains office supplies and forms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of:
• Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and data base systems, filing and
records management systems, and other office procedures and terminology
Skill in:
• Determining what needs to be recorded and accurately and completely recording information to meet all policy, procedure and regulatory requirements
• Knowing how to find information and identifying essential information
• Communicating effectively in speaking and writing as indicated by the needs of the audience
• Coordinating activities by adjusting actions in relation to others' actions
• Communicating verbally in professional and customer focused manner
• Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react the way they do
• Performing basic operations in Microsoft Office Suite

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School graduation or equivalent.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience.
