Overview

Leads transformation and a wide range of business initiatives across the healthcare system with a dual focus on continuous improvement of existing processes, products, and programs, as well as greenfield innovation to implement new programs and foundational infrastructure. Develops a system of care to help define strategy, budgets, and overall investments in resources and relationships with partners. Act as a high-level orchestrator of a complex process that involves large numbers of discrete initiatives, ensuring the delivery of results and the successful implementation of the organization's strategic plan. Through a leadership dyad structure, the CTO partners closely with the Enterprise CHRO to align efforts and strategies, ensuring that transformational initiatives are supported by the right talent, culture, and leadership. This collaboration fosters a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and improvement.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy and methodology aligned with the organizational goals and vision, focusing on lean capability system wide.

Oversees projects and strategy for continuous improvement using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen in the design and implementation of initiatives.

Partner with finance, operations and clinical leadership to analyze population health trends, market dynamics and facility needs. Conceptualize strategic initiatives to support the continuous evolution of the care delivery model and the infrastructure needed to support it.

Partner with clinical and operational leadership to ensure alignment between care delivery models, operational workflows and facility design/infrastructure. Conceptualize strategic real estate initiatives that support program needs while integrating flexibility to accommodate future evolution. Play a key role in realizing a new care model through intentional space planning.

Lead the implementation of high-priority transformation initiatives across the organization, including but not limited to restructuring business units, redesigning processes, implementing new technology, or introducing new ways of working to achieve desired outcomes.

Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress of transformation efforts, and monitor performance against targets to identify areas of success or challenge, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure objectives are met.

Lead cross-functional teams and complex business transformation activities in support of the organization's strategic plan.

Build business performance management systems and feedback loops to enhance the delivery of our services and ensure the refinement of strategies and service delivery to keep the organization agile and responsive to change.

Ensure the way we work supports operational strategies, are scalable as the organization grows, mitigates risk, and minimizes disruptions.

Identifies opportunities to harness and leverage new technologies, processes, and business models to drive efficiency and competitiveness.

In partnership with the Enterprise CHRO, drives cultural transformation and talent development efforts to ensure transformation efforts are supported and sustained over the long term.

Directly supervise and lead assigned teams in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations.

Collaborate and work successfully across all levels of the organization, affiliated partners, and community representatives demonstrating excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) as a key member of the Executive Leadership team

Attend Executive Management Team meetings and Leadership Team meetings, providing independent analysis and challenging current wisdom when necessary.
