Overview

The Associate Director, Operations – Transitions of Care (TOC) and High Risk Populations (HRP) is responsible for operational leadership, coordination, and support of Central Health’s TOC and HRP service lines and programs. This role partners closely with clinical, nursing, operational, and cross-functional leaders to support program development, service line implementation, workflow standardization, performance monitoring, and operational effectiveness.

 

The Associate Director supports the Director of Operations – TOC and HRP in developing and sustaining high quality service models, standardized processes, and operational efficiencies. This role provides direct oversight, coaching, and development to assigned team members and supports effective coordination and execution of service line priorities across the organization.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Supports the Director of Operations – TOC and HRP in developing long-term strategic plans, annual goals, and operational priorities for assigned service lines and programs in collaboration with nursing, clinical, and operational leadership.
  • Leads planning, coordination, implementation, and operational support for new service line development, expansion, and optimization efforts.
  • Provides direct oversight, coaching, and development to assigned program management staff and/or other operational roles, providing guidance and direction to support individual and team performance.
  • Oversees operational performance for assigned service lines, including workflow effectiveness, staffing and resource coordination, issue resolution, performance monitoring, and implementation of improvement plans.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors reporting and tracking systems to evaluate program and service line performance, identify trends, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Develops action plans to support achievement of assigned quality metrics, operational goals, and key performance indicators.
  • Prepares monthly and annual updates for leadership review, including progress toward goals, operational risks, and opportunities to improve services, programs, workflows, and outcomes.
  • Collaborates with Associate Directors of Clinical Services and Nursing to stabilize, improve, expand, and develop assigned service lines.
  • Supports the Director of Operations in the development and implementation of programs and initiatives designed to increase access, improve quality, support effective resource utilization, and maintain or reduce cost.
  • Supports strategic business initiatives and plans for areas of responsibility, including development of goals, objectives, timelines, and financial projections to support successful implementation.
  • Completes complex analyses as needed to inform business decisions and evaluate progress toward service line goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with leaders and team members across departments, including Specialty Care, Revenue Cycle, Finance, Procurement, Mental Health and Addiction Care, Facilities, Support Operations, Data and Analytics, and
  • Strategy, to support comprehensive success of shared initiatives and projects.
  • Partners with Project Managers to design, implement, and optimize programs, service lines, workflows, and operational improvement efforts within the assigned portfolio.
  • Performs any other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of the organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High degree of knowledge and competency in management in healthcare setting. 
  • Works collaboratively with all members of the Leadership Team and cross-functional teams to resolve challenges expeditiously, economically, professionally and with minimum disruption to the organization.

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, service line development, process improvement, and performance monitoring.

  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and build alignment across clinical, operational, financial, and administrative stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (higher degree accepted) In Business, Health Care Administration, or related field

Minimum Experience:

  • 6 years Progressive leadership experience Required And
  • 5 years Management experience in a healthcare setting Required And
  • 5 years Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups Required And
  • Experience managing and implementing large-scale projects in a healthcare delivery environment Required
