Overview

The Security Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the organization's digital assets are protected from
unauthorized access. This includes securing both online and on-premises infrastructures, evaluating metrics and
data to filter out suspicious activity, and finding and mitigating risks before breaches occur. The Security Manager
is also responsible for generating reports for IT administrators and business managers to evaluate the efficacy of
the security policies in place. They will then help to make the necessary changes for a more secure network and
may also create training programs and modules to educate employees and users on proper security protocols.

Responsibilities

Monitor computer networks for security issues.
Work with the client's team and tech stack on security-related tasks and action items.
Integrate with the cybersecurity team, IS team, and vendors in a consultative role.
Recommend mitigation and remediation actions, as necessary.
Assist with security remediation and mitigation tasks, as necessary.
Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including
firewalls and data encryption programs.
Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
Report detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
Stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
Monitoring security access.
Conducting security assessments through vulnerability testing and risk analysis.
Performing both internal and external security audits.
Analyzing security breaches to help identify the root cause.
Assisting with updating the company's incident response and disaster recovery plans.
Verifying the security of third-party vendors and collaborating with them to meet security requirements.
Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
Resourcefulness and ability to take the initiative in the development and completion of work projects.
Assist with security policy adds, edits, and changes as necessary.
Support functions, tasks, and mandates from Fortified Security leadership.
People management responsibility for the security analyst team members.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s
degree in Cybersecurity,
Computer Science, or
related field
Required


Work Experience
3 years or more overall network (LAN/WAN) experience. Required And
3 years of experience in the field of information security in the
following areas: firewall access control technologies,
risk management, vulnerability management, identity
management, Windows and Unix security, Cloud
Security, encryption technologies, and endpoint
security controls.
Required
And
3 years
of experience in information security technology
solutions in the following areas: IoT and IoMT,
Microsoft O365 DLP, ATP, Microsoft Intune, Multi-
Factor Authentication, Bit-Locker, Absolute (asset
management) AWS/Azure/OCI cloud
engineering/automation, systems engineering,
networking.
