Overview

The Director of Support Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Central Health’s
systemwide support services. This role ensures effective delivery of essential infrastructure functions that directly
support clinical and administrative operations across multiple sites. Areas of responsibility include space use,
logistics, inventory management, distribution services, contracted services (e.g., food, laundry, linen, document
management, hospitality), and building-level operational support. The Director partners with Clinical Operations,
Finance, Facilities, and other teams to align support operations with organizational goals, compliance standards,
and patient-centered service delivery.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Lead strategic planning, development, and implementation of Support Operations functions to achieve best-inclass service levels.
  • Support the Chief Infrastructure with management of commercial leases and space management.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of support services, including staff, contractors, vendors, and systems.
    Monitor workflow, establish performance metrics, and deliver regular reports to senior leadership.
    Negotiate, manage, and evaluate contracts and service-level agreements, ensuring compliance wit regulations and policies.
  • Direct process improvement initiatives, standardize procedures, and adopt Lean/continuous improvement
    practices.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and infrastructure leaders to align operations with organizational
    priorities.
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for Support Operations.
  • Lead and mentor staff; foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
  • Ensure readiness for audits, inspections, and compliance with applicable healthcare, safety, and regulatory
    requirements.
  • Represent Support Operations with internal and external stakeholders; provide updates to the Board of Managers as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree (higher degree accepted) in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Operations, or related field.

 

Minimum Experience:

7 years of progressive leadership experience in support operations, infrastructure services, or facilities in healthcare or public agency settings. Demonstrated success managing multi-site services,
large teams, and vendor contracts.
