  • Overview

    Direct, manage and administer capital improvements and investment projects. Plan, coordinate and represent Central health interests

    Time Management:

    • Prioritize, set and perform as needed
    • Evaluate and plan for immediate, near term and long term demands


    Design Management and Execution:

    • Space programming, definition and management
    • Scope of work preparation and negotiation
    • Contract administration and management; contract negotiation
    • Construction documents review & editing
    • Design team direction and control 


    Project Management:

    • Execute and direct capital projects planning, design, construction, commissioning and close out



    • Conceptual and detailed cost estimation
    • Total Projects cost estimation
    • Cash flow projections and tracking
    • Cost management and prediction
    • Construction Applications for Payment – critical review and processing
    • Contract budget estimation, oversight and management

       Design disciplines need identification, coordination and management

    •        Site/civil
    •        Survey
    •       Geotechnical
    •       Environmental
    •       Architectural and engineering
    •       Commissioning


    Contracts Management:

    • Procurement Coordination, Management and Oversight
    • Contract fee and cost planning, budgeting, assessment, negotiation and management
    • Scope of services/work definition, interviewing, evaluation and recommendation
    • Change management – including DETAILED evaluation of labor and materials cost, and time 


    Construction Management:

    • Contracts drafting and negotiation
    • General conditions knowledge and management
    • Construction direction, oversight and enforcement
    • General contractor & construction management experience
    • Change management
    • Schedule review, assessment and management
    • Construction communications and TIMELY response 


    Facilities Management:

    • Facilities assessments, inspections and due diligence
    • Renovation scope definition and assessment
    • Systems familiarity and coordination and cooperation with operations
    • Other Duties as assigned
    • Attendance is crucial to position




    • AIA Documents familiarity (design and construction)
    • General Conditions of Contract
    • CSI Master Spec
    • Construction documents – ability to review, coordinate and understand all disciplines
    • Building Codes
    • ADA
    • Building Permit process
    • Environmental assessments / management
    • Green Construction / LEED Principles and Concepts


    Software Skills:

    • MS Office Products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook
    • Financial analysis and management tools (within Excel acceptable)
    • CAD Capabilities Preferred (AutoCAD / Revit) 
    • Construction management packages experience / familiarity of benefit
    • Internet

    People Management/Department Management/Business Unit Management:

    • Oversees Outside Consultants and contractors


    MINIMUM EDUCATION: B.S. Engineering ; Bachelor’s in Architecture (Professional degree); or B.S. Construction Management


    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: (7) years’ project management experience in building facilities, to include directing and controlling planning, design and construction. LEED AP of familiarity.


    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Healthcare facilities design and construction experience
