  • Overview

    Within the CCC Project Management Office (PMO), the Senior Project Manager will manage various projects supporting the CCC’s vision of creating a national model for healthcare delivery for identified vulnerable populations in Travis County. The Senior Project Manager may provide support to either or both the CCC’s Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) projects or integrated delivery system (IDS) projects. DSRIP projects are part of an ongoing, larger effort led by Central Health and Community Care Collaborative to transform Travis County’s safety-net healthcare program into a seamless integrated delivery system and are associated with various metric, deliverable and outcome requirements that must be met within a set time frame. IDS projects relate to healthcare funding models, specialty care, health management and data-driven population health initiatives among others. All projects require gathering and interpreting data, developing and maintaining project schedules, maintaining and properly controlling project scope, collaboratively implementing projects, monitoring project budget, mitigating risks, fostering sustainable relationships with community partners and serving as a strategic thinking partner within the project team.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop project work plans and manage and coordinate projects to include establishing work plans, leading team activities, managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project.
    • Work with project team members or subject matter experts to define project scope, resource requirements, timelines, and deliverables. 
    • Continually monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, identifying risk points and proposing solutions or escalating to leadership as needed
    • Work closely with CCC partners to contract for, implement, monitor, assess, and improve the performance of CCC projects.
    • Analyze programs or operations to determine how they affect other programs or operations and whether/how they could be better coordinated.
    • Document existing operations or workstreams and analyzes potential changes to maximize coordination or efficiency.
    • Participate in strategic or operational planning exercises for the CCC, the IDS, or their stakeholders.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    Knowledge of:

    • Project management principles
    • Clinical and administrative healthcare operations and, ideally, funding models
    • Principles and practices of business strategies, objectives, planning, development and management processes and process improvement
    • Short and long-term budgeting and forecasting
    • Skill in:
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Excellent performance analysis and problem resolution skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to reconcile differences

    • Develop and manage project documentation to support implementation through completion and/or scaling.

    • Collaborate and coordinate effectively with key internal/external stakeholders, medical staff, administration, community partner agencies, regulatory agencies, and the public
    • Communicate complex information in clear and unambiguous terms to stakeholders, including Provider Partners, other community stakeholders and management
    • Work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions

    • People Management/Department Management/Business Unit Management:
    • Direct service line operations and execution of initiatives, goals and programs.
    • Manage implementation of new service line initiatives and ensure coordination of strategy and initiatives.

    • Responds proactively to employee and customer needs and concerns

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's Degree

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

    • 5 years of experience with a Bachelors degree 

    Or

    • 3 years of experience with a Masters degree

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  Ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical environment, either in an administrative or clinical capacity.

     

    PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:  Project Management Professional (PMP)
